On January 1st, the bodies of Sarah
and Amina Said were found in the back seat of the cab of their father, 50 year-old Yaser Abdel Said. Despite pleas from his son to turn himself in, Said has not been apprehended to face to consequences of his infanticide. Some would call it an honor killing, an Islamic custom of killing female family members whose behavior is deemed as inappropriate based on strict interpretations of the tenets of the religion.
On Thursday, the tragedy of Sarah and Amina was the opening point of a speech given by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, herself a Muslim woman and the author the powerful memoir, Infidel. Brought up in the Islamic faith, Ms. Ali has credence when she speaks to the suspected motive for the Said sister’s deaths.
“I want to tell you why their father killed them,” Ms. Hirsi Ali said.
Mr. Said’s daughters were known to date non-Muslim men and dress in Western clothing, Ms. Hirsi Ali said, and in her estimation, the perceived loss of honor motivated Mr. Said, an Egyptian-born Muslim, to take his children’s lives.

“The essence of a woman in this culture is reduced to the value of their hymen,” she said. “In countries ruled by Islam, women are treated as slaves or pets.”
She quickly pointed out, “I must add that not all Muslim men are perpetrators and not all Muslim women are victims.”
Her last point is probably true, but just as in prior centuries when American Christian slave owners used the Bible to justify their barbaric treatment of those they considered subservient, many Muslim men have interpreted portions of the Koran as reasons to subjugate and abuse of women.
Perhaps, Yaser Said was such a man or perhaps he was a controlling, intolerant, cold-blooded murderer. In either case, his daughters are gone and the silence of their two closest relatives, their mother and brother, is contemptible.
In keeping with the policy of this site, the picture of the perpetrator will not be published, however for more information on this murder click here.

That Yaser Said is still at large astounds me.
AOW,
Thanks for the visit. I agree with you; there is something very strange about the way he vanished into thin air. He does not appear to be a multi-millionaire with access to the unlimited funds it takes to get out of the country or go underground and live without the need to make a living somehow.
It is my intent to continue to update this situation until he is brought to justice.

He’s being hidden by the people who think like he does. Start checking the local CAIR offices or mosques and see what pops up.
Good idea, but those are tight groups and hard to crack. After the local Muslim charity was found not guilty of supporting terrorism, they are feeling pretty smug and untouchable.
I have never blogged in this site but, I have been accused of blogging all over, for the sake of my great-neices! In reality, I have been doing all I can to keep Yaser’s face in the public eye! Joyce and I are doing all we can, as great aunt’s, to bring justice for Sarah and Amina.
I am asking all, who read this, PLEASE, PLEASE, help us to find this man! Secondly, I would ask that we all try to keep these girls from being, “just memories.” They both wanted to be doctors…”to help people.” WOW! How giving they were and this tells me they had developed a heart of compassion for others! Not the hate, in which I am sure they were taught! They thought NOTHING like thier brother, Islam, who is a fanatical Islamic deviant. This boy stalked these girls and many know this but, is this legal in America now? I suppose it is, as he has not had to spend one day, in jail, for his stalking and telling his dad! Had it been a stranger, perhaps they would do something legally? I do not know? This I do know! Islam, if not given some very deep help, psychologically, will only serve as another Yaser, on American soil. Like his dad, he collects monies from our government! Why? Because, supposedly he has a mental disorder! No, he does not! He is radical Islamic and would not allow women teachers to teach him a thing! He kicked and hit at my neice when she tried to make him behave and I have NEVER heard him call her mom! He calls her Tissy!
In as much, I fear for any woman who involves herself with him. I pray, if he ever marries, he does NOT have daughters as their plight may be the same as Sarah’s and Amina’s! In fact, I decided to blog here, today…why?….Because I think there is a strong chance my neice, Tissy, will be the next target! Yes, she did run with the girls but, like a good Islamic woman…she brought them back, with a lie! Now, I fear it maybe her, who is being stalked! I fear it will be her who will be buried next! Why? Because they are all telling her, on the SAID side, that it is HER fault, Yaser killed the girls! Well, if they truly feel this way, then she is going to be history as soon as they can arrange this! Islam, is in New York at this time but, I fear for her even more, when he returns! Yes, I do think he is capable of killing his own mother. Will he? Well, the future will bare forth truths and unfortunately, some of these truths may cost more than some think!
In the meantime, we great aunts, will never stop trying to get justice for these beautiful girls who were kept away from us. Why? Because the fear of the girls telling the truth again and again! NOONE listened, not even their aunt Connie! It grieves me so! How many times did these girls cry out to strangers, only to have their words misunderstood? How many times did Amina cry out to Connie? I know of twice and the last time….Amina could have been saved, …if only!
I am sickened by the fact that noone ever came to these girls rescue….especially, family members who were, “in the know”! Well, now I know many things and I will tell thier stories and they will NEVER be BUT A MEMORY to me!!
Great Aunt,
You are welcome to blog here as much as you want. I have made a commitment to continue to blog about Sarah and Amina for as long as it takes to bring Yasser Said to justice.
I am so sorry for your loss, and I can only imagine how heartbreaking this experience has been far you and the other relatives who knew the girls. I don’t care whether it is called an “honor killing” or just a cold blooded murder, the results were the same: two beautiful vivacious lives were cut short by the actions of someone who should have been their protector.
Many others support you and the others who are determined to find the assassin who took the lives of these innocent girls. Hopefully through this network of people and the work of the police, he will be found and made accountable for his actions.
Thank you for your kindness. I appreciate you championing for Sarah and Amina! God bless you for this endeavor!!
